However, it wasn’t the case at Villa Madruzzo, where nothing was lagging and the service was top quality. Many other hotels and restaurants we have visited this summer have likewise just been re-opened and had thus had reduced menus and lacking service. We learned that the hotel and restaurant had just recently been re-opened, after having closed for several months due to the Covid-19. We actually ended up extending our stay for yet another night, as we were too satisfied to leave after just one night.

Foremost, we were served by the waiters with full attention and without any rush, so we got all the time we needed to enjoy our meal, even it became very late evening. It was delicious Italian food and a comprehensive selection of wines. We arrived rather late at night, but were welcomed to have our dinner in the restaurant. We had just booked a night’s stay from the Internet and didn’t really have much expectations when we arrived, so it was mind blowing to suddenly experience this high quality & service.
Food, service and quality of rooms is better than excellent.
